After a complete dental hygiene exam your hygienist will advise you on the health of the gums and bone supporting your teeth. From here your hygienist will review your unique care recommendations, and answer any questions you may have in regards to your oral health.
Your Independent Dental Hygienist will take the necessary time to find the solution for your unique risk factors. Do you have a dry mouth? Do you breath through your mouth? These two questions are important, if I see moderate bacteria all over your teeth I can't just assume you don't work hard at trying to keep your teeth clean.
I love power toothbrushes and feel they just work better than a manual toothbrush, they have more stokes per minute than your manual tooth brush and in most cases are superior for plaque removal. Bring your power tooth brush into your hygiene visits as most people are using them WRONG. Use your power tooth brush two times every day.
Find a tool that you can commit to using every day to clean between your teeth. It does not have to be floss. Yes you heard me right! We will work together to find a tool you can work with and incorporate into your daily life style.
Now it is the time to find you a dentist, or send you off to your current dentist. Your dentist will examine your teeth for signs of decay and make recommendations to keep the teeth in tip top shape.
