The dental office can be a stressful atmosphere for many reasons, with multiple rooms running staying on time can be difficult. In private practice I determine the length of each and every appointment….how does this help? Some clients just need more time than others and as I get to know my clients I can adjust the appointment lengths accordingly. Less waiting in the waiting room for my clients equals decreased stress on their day. Your time is important to me.
2. Ability to create long trusting relationships with my clients.
Flexible hours are essential and as office hours increase to accommodate this it is impossible for each hygienist to be there during all office hours…..what does this lead to? Seeing multiple providers at your hygiene appointments. Over my 19 years of practice I have many clients who choose to only see me and I love this because I only want to see you too! Building relationships and knowing each client’s background is essential for me as a hygienist to give you the best care I can. As the only hygienist in the practice I will work flexible hours to meet the client’s needs.
3. Ability to implement new knowledge into my daily work.
Continued education is an important part of my profession and as I spend many hours each year in courses and self-study I am always gaining greater knowledge. When working with multiple hygienists everyone needs to follow the same protocols or clients get confused. This doesn’t mean change can’t occur but they can take longer to implement.
4. Less overhead to run practice and savings can be passed on to my client.
5.The necessary experience needed to go on my own.
Knowledge is essential in helping clients optimize their oral health. I can discuss options for filling spaces when teeth are missing, suggest crowns if you have a tooth at risk of breaking, let you know if a tooth has a concerning area and make referrals to local dentists. Having worked many years in the area I can help match you up with a dentist that meets your unique needs.
